Hats off to Ms. Kimberly Adlawan, Bachelor of Science in Information (BSIT) student from the (DOSCST) Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology for successfully completing OSOmniMedia’s student internship program.
Kim is now a certified alumni of our Internship Program for students after completing 350 hours of hands on training. With the guidance of her mentor, Allan Maturan, she learned how to work on the Amazon platform, and was assigned to crucial tasks that include image editing and search engine optimization.
Kim’s learning:
I learned a lot during my OJT. Now I understand that punctuality is very important and every employee must be trained for it because it is part of being professional. I learned how to manage all the tasks that was given to me. It is very important that you need to follow the instructions and avoid making mistakes at work because it spends more time to check it again. And of course, I learned the process, functions and the purpose of the company. And I am very thankful that I learned it all from team Osomnimedia.
1. Overall – how was the experience?
All of my experience was great. I experienced hardships but learning to never give up when adversity strikes. I learned on how to do my tasks well with a process & to follow instructions from your trainer to avoid mistakes.
2. What was the most difficult part about the program at Osomnimedia?
For me, there is no difficult part about the program at Osomnimedia. Because I believe that every difficulties, practices and trainings are the best ways to prepare for my future career.
3. What did you enjoy most about your experience?
What I enjoyed most about my experience is when I had a task then it is not easy to accomplish but I did it well and my trainer appreciates it.
4. How was the staff, were they easy on you, or too demanding? Why?
Actually, the staff here in the company, first I thought they are too serious when it comes to socializing others and now, I see that they are not too difficult to approach. And they will answer me in a nice way if I have some questions if my trainer is not around.
5. What are your plans going forward?
My plans going forward, I will finish my studies and after I graduate, this will be the first company that I am going to apply to.
6. What advice would you give other students who choose to OJT at Osomnimedia:
My advice that I can give to the other students who choose to OJT at Osomnimedia, it is very worth it that you choose the company. You will gain more knowledge and you will be disciplined in terms of professionalism.
