Team OSOmniMedia congratulates Nobbert for successfully completing his student internship!

A job well done to our on the job trainee, Nobbert Vincent Laganao, a Bachelor of Science in Information (BSIT) student from NORMI, (Northern Mindanao Colleges Incorporated) for successfully completing his internship at the OSOmniMedia Web Design Studio!

Nobbert underwent training with our graphic and web design team for a total of 486 hours with the guidance of his mentor, Robert Relativo, learning to work with various platforms and applications that include HTML, e-commerce and photoshop.

Nobbert’s learning:

Joining OSOMnimedia is one of the best experiences that I had in my college years, through this firm, I didn’t just spent time merely for compliance of this course but it has been an outlet for learning something new and a motivation to strive hard. All throughout the learning & experience, a lot of knowledge and expertise raise on me. A greater wisdom of what IT is all about was imparted to me. I learned about web and online store, how to entry the data of the product in the back end of their website, how to manage it & how to get that product in the website. I also learned to be more patient, objective and disciplined. And to blend with workmates. I am also grateful of this opportunity given by this IT company from Davao city. All of this thing I learned are beyond my expectations. I am very thankful for all of it.

1. Overall – how was the experience?

The first day of my internship program was full of excitement. I was here with the hope of gaining knowledge that I will use to step out of the firm when my OJT days will be over. My expectations were not just met but were exceeded by my experience. I already acquired skills in school but applying it to the field comprehend me more and more. The whole journey of being an intern was a very wonderful experience. I realized a lot of things like a full appreciation of how the IT world moves.

The difficult part about the program of osomnimedia for me, is maybe maintaining the high quality and standards of their outputs because I know that there are many IT company outside competing with them.

I enjoy working, I enjoy every time my trainer teach me how to do that output, it’s quite difficult but practice makes perfect. I enjoy learning and exploring new things here in OSOmnimedia, all of my OJT days are very productive compared to my classmates’. It’s worth it.

4. How was the staff, were they easy on you, or too demanding? Why?

The staff are good. They’re not demanding. They are also approachable, that I never had a hard time coping up with them. They were humble and also, they were hands on in guiding interns, I learn a lot from them, I educate that as a person, we should always keep our feet on the ground.

5. What are your plans going forward?

Going back to this city and try to apply in this company, I am willing to empty my cup to learn here in osomnimedia.

7. What advice would you give other students who choose to OJT at Osomnimedia:
