Hats off to our student intern Kirk for successfully completing OSOMniMedia’s OJT Program!

Hats off to Mr. Kirk Gulle , Bachelor of Science in Information (BSIT) student from NORMI, (Northern Mindanao Colleges Incorporated) for successfully completing OSOmniMedia’s student internship program.

Kirk diligently trained for 486 hours with our web and graphic design team with the guidance of his mentor, Ryan Lou Lapitan, learning new applications and acquiring new skills in basic Photo editing, as well as web and e-commerce platforms.

Kirk’s learning:

Being part of the Osomnimedia Web Design Studio company as a student intern was really a great experience and opportunity for me…so many things that I learned not just about the software that they use but also gain knowledge, because learning in a classroom is not just enough to have knowledge or experience of what an IT really does in the real world & how hard it could be as an IT worker. I’ve Learned a lot especially the trick of using Photoshop tools which is much easier to use at work.

Good luck Kirk and best wishes on your future endeavours!

1. Overall – how was the experience?

It was a great experience on working as an intern, I finally realized that knowledge is not enough without experience, I’m so grateful for this opportunity given by our dean & most of all in this great industry. All of this are beyond of my expectations and I will never forget all the important lessons that I learned from this company.

2. What was the most difficult part about the program at Osomnimedia?

The most difficult part for me is maintaining the quality of the outputs because there are some IT company competing with them, especially the high- quality designs of their output.

3. What did you enjoy most about your experience?

From what I’ve experienced, maintaining the quality of the output that’s given to me by my trainer.

4. How was the staff, were they easy on you, or too demanding? Why?

The staff are really good, they were easy on us, very humble & friendly. I really love the staff because they were kind and I love the way they teach their new employees & student interns, just like my trainer, he will find a way to make the task more understandable & whenever I get confused he will come to my desk and teach me thoroughly, even though he has also a lot of work to do.

5. What are your plans going forward?

My plans as of now is to finish my Capstone Project.

7. What advice would you give other students who choose to OJT at Osomnimedia:

My only advice to those students who were planning to choose Osomnimedia for their internship is to take more initiative at work, and also be patient.
